An element of risk

You need to be aware that indoor roped climbing involves a risk of serious injury or death. While Bowes Park Climbing and Trinity-at-Bowes Centre Plus take reasonable steps to reduce risk, it’s not possible to eliminate it completely. Holds may spin or break, equipment may fail, and falls can occur.

Even while Instructors and volunteers are on hand, you are responsible for supervising your own safety and the safety of others, within your level of competence.

BMC participation statement

"The British Mountaineering Council recognise that climbing and mountaineering are activities with a danger of personal injury or death. Participants in these activities should be aware of, and accept these risks, and be responsible for their own actions and involvement."
